Outer is a progressive metal project from Cesena, Italy, active since 2014. After two years of live shows and experimentation, the band began shaping their debut album Verge, blending djent influences with melodic and emotional soundscapes. The first single Labyrinthic dropped in 2017, followed by the title track Verge, leading to the release of the full self-produced album in 2018, mixed by guitarist Matteo Gentili and mastered by Ermin Hamidovic.

In 2020, Outer evolved their lineup by adding a third guitarist, opening new sonic possibilities for their second record. The new chapter kicked off with the singles A Detour (2024) and Sentient (2025), both anticipating the band’s upcoming album.
